John 16:13 (KJV) “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
Message: “Guided by the Spirit of Truth”
Jesus promised His disciples that after His departure, the Holy Spirit—called here the Spirit of truth—would come to guide them into all truth. This was more than comfort; it was empowerment for living, discerning, and ministering in a world filled with deception.
The Spirit doesn’t speak on His own authority; He only relays what He hears from the Father and the Son. This shows the unity of the Trinity and the reliability of divine guidance. When we listen to the Holy Spirit, we are hearing directly from the heart of God.
Moreover, the Holy Spirit reveals things to come—prophetic insight, warnings, direction, and the unfolding will of God. In a time of confusion and spiritual noise, believers must tune their hearts to the voice of the Spirit. He leads us into truth, not opinion. Into revelation, not speculation.
This verse is a call to sensitivity and surrender—to allow the Holy Spirit to be more than a presence we acknowledge but a guide we follow.

Spirit of Truth, I welcome You into every area of my life. Guide me into all truth and protect me from deception. Speak what the Father is saying, and help me to discern Your voice above every other. Open my eyes to see the things to come and align my heart with Your purposes. Teach me to walk in obedience and clarity, not confusion.
Let my life reflect the wisdom, peace, and direction that comes from living by Your leading. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
